The Master Chorale of South Florida is a highly select, auditioned ensemble of 120 talented singers from Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties. Our mission is to harness the transformative and unifying power of choral music, bringing a rich and varied repertoire to our community. We present four to five self-produced concert series of choral-orchestral masterworks annually, alongside three to four free family concerts. Additionally, we maintain an annual commission fund and are frequently sought after for guest performances with other leading musical organizations.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization during a pivotal time of growth and innovation. This role is ideal for a passionate and strategic leader who can inspire and engage diverse audiences across South Florida. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership to develop and execute a growth strategy that aligns with the Chorale's mission and values.
  • Oversees administrative and operational aspects of the organization, including budgeting, fundraising, marketing, and audience development.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, community partners, and audiences.
  • Lead, inspire, and collaborate with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to achieve organizational goals and deliver exceptional choral performances.
  • Represent the Chorale within the local and regional arts community, advocating for the importance of choral music and the arts.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years of leadership experience within a chorus or non-profit performing arts organization, including at least two years in fundraising with donors and sponsors.
  • Strong knowledge of choral and/or classical music, coupled with experience in concert and event management.
  • Proven experience working directly with a governing board, as well as with grant funders, sponsors, and donors.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey messages to diverse audiences.
