ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, CANTABILE CHAMBER CHORALE
Cantabile Chamber Chorale, an award-winning volunteer ensemble founded in 1988, seeks a versatile and culturally adventurous Artistic Director to carry its tradition into the 2026 season and beyond. The Artistic Director conducts weekly rehearsals, Wednesday evenings 7:00 to 10PM, in the New Brunswick, NJ area, and dress rehearsals at performance venues, presenting two (2) full concert programs each year along with collaborations and community outreach activities. The ensemble welcomes adult singers from a variety of backgrounds who are committed to musical growth individually and as an ensemble.
Required
BA or advanced degree in music
A thorough knowledge of choral literature
Experience conducting avocational singers, professional soloists, and instrumentalists.
The Artistic Director as an independent contractor is paid in 12 monthly installments as stipulated by annual contract and is accountable to the Board of Trustees. Compensation will be $10,000-$12,000 per year.
