Background
NMGC was founded in 1988 following a model of collegiate glee club singing, and over a period of 37 years has become a fixture in the musical culture of Naperville, practicing weekly, and performing 4 – 6 times per year with seasonal concerts, for special events, and for private gatherings. There is a focus on musical excellence, sharing and serving within the Naperville community, and collaboration with regional musical and collegiate organizations.
The chorus is typically composed of 25 – 40 men and meets weekly on Tuesday evenings in Naperville. The repertoire covers a broad selection of work from Broadway Musicals, a cappella numbers, sacred hymns, seasonal favorites, old time folk songs, gospel & spiritual, to contemporary pieces. NMGC takes pride in collaborating with other local choruses and small groups in concert and special event venues.
