Seeking New P/T Choral Director
The Williamsport Civic Chorus, now in its 82nd season, is a community of 50-60 singers. We are seeking a new director beginning with the Fall 2026 season. The ideal candidate will have experience in choral directing with a variety of instrumental accompanists including small orchestral ensembles. An advanced degree in Music is desired but not required.
Consistent with our mission statement below, the responsibilities of the director include, but are not limited to:
- Weekly 2-hour musical direction on Monday evenings 7-9PM from late August through April, including choice of material, mode of production, concert themes, etc.
- attendance and participation at monthly board meetings
- serve as an ambassador of the Chorus to the community
- recommend and procure soloists and accompanist(s), as needed

The Civic Chorus is a friendly, energetic group of musicians and non-musicians alike. We are accomplished in the performance of classical selections, as well as genres ranging from bluegrass to African folk music to jazz. We are looking for a director who will honor the high performance standards we have established, and lead us to ever new heights.
