Development and Fundraising Manger of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh
The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (MCP), one of the region’s most celebrated and historic choral ensembles, is seeking a passionate and strategic Development & Fundraising Manager to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support our mission of creating transformative musical experiences that inspire, educate, and connect our community through choral excellence.
As the Mendelssohn Choir approaches its next chapter of artistic growth, we are looking for a development professional who will help strengthen our fundraising capacity, deepen donor engagement, and build a sustainable foundation for the future. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, initiative, and a love of the performing arts to a role that combines relationship building, grant writing, special campaigns and events, and annual giving campaigns.
Key Responsibilities Overview
This position will work closely with the Executive Director, Artistic Director, and Board of Directors to design and implement fundraising strategies that support our performances, community programs, and artistic collaborations with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and other regional partners.
The Development & Fundraising Manager will play a key role in advancing MCP’s mission by developing and implementing strategies to secure philanthropic support, deepen donor relationships, and build sustainable revenue streams. This role will work collaboratively with the Music Director, Executive Director, and Board of Directors to deliver fundraising targets and support the organization’s growth and impact.

The Development & Fundraising Manager reports to the Executive Director of MCP.
The Mendelsohn Choir of Pittsburgh will provide a compensation and benefits package in the range of $30,000 - $50,000 annually, commensurate with the candidate’s level of experience.
