After thirty-five years as Artistic Director of the Lexington Chamber Chorale, Dr Gary Anderson has announced his retirement, effective at the conclusion of the 2025-2026 season in June. The search is now underway to find a new Artistic Director for the Chorale who will continue and build upon the excellence of the past thirty-five years.
The Lexington Chamber Chorale (LCC) is an auditioned, professional SATB ensemble of thirty voices that presents four concerts each year. The Chorale currently rehearses and performs at Second Presbyterian Church, offering a varied repertoire that challenges the director, singers, and audience to explore a broad spectrum of musical experience. Through the years LCC has partnered with a variety of individuals and groups in the arts community including the Lexington Philharmonic; Central Kentucky Youth Orchestra; Kentucky State University Concert Choir; Allegro Dance Studio; renowned percussionist, composer, and clinician Anders Astrand; and Grammy Award winning hip-hop artist, Devine Carama.
