The Boulder Children’s Chorale is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Piccolini Director to lead our introductory ensemble (Grades K-1) for the 2026-2027 season! Role & Impact: Serve as the Director for our Piccolini ensemble, guiding our youngest singers (Kindergarten–1st Grade) through their first choral experiences.
Schedule: Part-time hourly position (approx. 20 hours per month) running from August through May.
Rehearsal Locations: Regular rehearsals are held Tuesday afternoons in Longmont and Thursday afternoons in Boulder.
Key 2026-27 Concert Dates: October 3, December 14–15, and April 18.
Compensation: Hourly rate of $24–$28, commensurate with your education and experience level.
Core Responsibilities:
Curate engaging, age-appropriate repertoire for primary-aged voices.
Lead weekly rehearsals and seasonal performances.
Foster a classroom environment rooted in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Collaborate with the Artistic Director, Board, and Staff on strategic outreach and growth.
What We’re Looking For: A Bachelor’s in Music Education and/or significant early childhood experience with young elementary students. Knowledge of Kodaly, Orff, or Dalcroze methodologies is highly preferred.
